This unique boot jack is hand made from recycled horseshoes and is mounted on reclaimed or fire killed lumber.
The horseshoes are finished with a poly clear coat for weather resistance and the tines are wrapped with leather to reduce scratching your boots.
The mounting board is 12" by 7" by 1 1/4", scalloped edges and flame painted and finished with poly clear coat. The trees were locally milled. Since the limber is reclaimed or fire killed there will be unique markings from its previous life. Markings such as insect damage or removed fastener marks.
Flame Painting: using a torch to char the wood to bring out the grain and to color the wood. This causes the grain to really pop.
The bottom of the board has nylon feet to prevent scratching of floors. These feet can be easily removed if desired.
To use, simple stand on the board, hook one boot heal between the tines and pull. Then switch feet to remove the other boot and repeat. See video.
